Music Talk: The Band Called Sinyma

Sinyma was one of the performers I've stumbled upon during the Sandstorm 2014 event. We were lucky to have been able to catch them before their performance ended. At first glance, you would know that this band is something special. After all, who would invite a band in an event that's supposedly exclusive for DJs. Safe to say, they did not disappoint.

Sinyma, according to their Facebook page, is electronica-funk-electro-nusoul-disco-future garage all rolled into one. In my opinion, they are a fusion of music that is both distinct and indistinguishable at the same time. They have the perfect sound for when you're driving aimlessly on the roads or when you're in the mood to party. In short, they can fit in any setting. To give you a taste, here's their live studio performance of Daft Punk's About Us vs Get Lucky produced by The His and Her Project.

Before we go ahead and give you the rest of Sinyma, let's discuss some facts first. Sinyma is composed of three members namely Jess Connelly, Madz Abubakar a.k.a Abdel Aziz and Cyril Sorongon a.k.a Silverfilter. Jess Connelly is the vocals of the group. She brings in the soul and the swag of the song. Madz Abubakar a.k.a. Abdel Aziz brings in the charm and the Ableton Live. Finally, Cyril Sorongon a.k.a. Silverfilter gives us the groove with his trusted guitar on top of other things. Together, they make eargasmic music that will leave you begging for more.
